We believe it is essential to support community initiatives and local events in the Bécancour region. This time, our involvement is with the 6th edition of Festicadie, taking place from August 15 to 17.

The festivities kick off at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 15, as Festicadie opens the doors to its “Acadia of a Thousand Faces”—a cultural event celebrating the arrival of the first Acadians in the village of Saint-Grégoire.
Over the course of three days, the festival will feature:
Entertainment and performances
Youth activities
Live shows
Sports tournaments
—all celebrating Acadian culture.
This year, the Bergeron family (the annual theme) has been selected for the genealogical activities.
Finally, don’t miss the Grand Tintamarre Acadien taking place this Friday—a vibrant tradition dating back to 1955, created to commemorate the bicentennial of the Acadian Deportation.
