Maintaining Your Tents and Canopies
Tired of juggling rental management? Have you invested in a custom tent or canopy to stylishly welcome your partners and prospects at events?
Here are our maintenance and storage tips to ensure your investment pays off in the long run.
Clean your setup before taking it down
You wouldn’t want mold to compromise the integrity of your equipment! A cloth soaked in soapy water (non-abrasive soap, please) will usually do the trick. It’s recommended to start with the front and back end walls, then move on to the side panels.
Make sure your setup is completely dry before storing it
If you’re short on time, you can speed up the process with a towel, but ideally, let it air dry.
Store your equipment carefully
A poorly placed stake could puncture your fabric, so make sure every piece is properly positioned before closing the bag.
If the original packaging is too difficult to replicate, don’t stress—pack the accessories separately.
Oh! And one more tip: take inventory of all parts while packing them away.
Choose a dry storage location
Store your canopy in a sheltered space, protected from the elements, with controlled temperature and as little humidity as possible.
It goes without saying that you won’t always have the time or opportunity to be this meticulous every time you pack up your equipment. However, whenever time and weather allow, we strongly recommend following these steps.
If it’s raining when you pack up your equipment, unpack your tent or canopy once you’re back home or at work. When conditions allow, set it up again, clean it, and let it dry before storing it properly.
If these steps seem tedious, keep in mind that you’ll save time during your next setup—and money in the long run—by extending the lifespan and maintaining the quality of your custom tent or booth.
